Our Colleagues’ Donations Made Christmas Brighter for Children at the Clinic

Once again this year, we helped make Christmas brighter for the young patients at the Debrecen Pediatric Clinic. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of our colleagues, the amount of donations we collect grows year by year.

Several boxes of toys, books, and sweets were gathered to help ease the challenges of everyday life for children recovering in the hospital and to bring smiles to their faces during the holiday season. The donations once again came from employees of the Szinorg Group’s member companies, who wholeheartedly collected the gifts to support the children’s recovery and development. The Pediatric Rehabilitation, Child Psychology and Psychosomatic Department currently has 32 hospital beds, and unfortunately, new young patients are constantly arriving as others are discharged.

The donations were handed over on December 4, 2024. Professor Dr. Beáta Erika Nagy, head of the department, warmly received the carefully selected surprises, including stuffed animals, storybooks, art supplies, and treats. She explained that many of the children treated there spend several weeks at the clinic, which makes every act of kindness and support especially meaningful.

At the donation event, Miklós Bakos, CEO of HUNÉP Zrt., emphasized that our company has been a committed supporter of the Pediatric Clinic at the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen for many years.

“We are always looking for opportunities to help the clinic’s young patients through our donation drives, and it’s especially heartwarming that our Christmas gifts can bring joy to children who, as wards of the state, often receive less care and attention in their lives,” he noted.

For our group, charity is not only about providing support — it is also about contributing to the growing social appreciation of the construction industry and showing the value that professionals in our sector bring to their communities.
