Manufacturing Reaches a New Milestone: Sensirion’s Second Production Facility Completed

A new, sustainably operated production facility has been delivered in Debrecen, developed by the joint industrial real estate company of the SZINORG and XANGA Groups.

The building was designed and constructed to meet the specific needs of Sensirion Hungary Ltd., a global leader in high-tech digital microsensors and integrated systems.

The Swiss-based Sensirion has been steadily expanding its presence in Debrecen over the past years, and the opening of this second manufacturing hall marks another significant milestone in the company’s local growth. The new, state-of-the-art facility spans 6,600 square meters and enables Sensirion to double its production capacity in the region.

“Like our headquarters in Stäfa, this facility is also entirely free from fossil energy sources,” emphasized Imre Török, Maintenance and Infrastructure Director at Sensirion Hungary Ltd. “All operational energy is supplied by a combination of 80 geothermal probes powering a heat pump system with nearly one megawatt capacity, and an onsite solar power plant – ensuring that our manufacturing processes are powered by renewable energy.”
