Inauguration of the Construction Industry Award Plaque at the Csokonai National Theatre

The reconstruction of the Csokonai National Theatre has received yet another prestigious recognition: in 2024, the project was awarded the Construction Industry Award, the commemorative plaque of which was unveiled today at the renovated theatre building in a ceremonial event.

Speeches were delivered by Dr. Dániel Vadász, Director of the Csokonai National Theatre Debrecen; László Papp, Mayor of the City of Debrecen; Miklós Bakos, CEO of HUNÉP Zrt.; and Dr. Gábor Nagyunyomi-Sényi, President of the Scientific Society for Building (ÉTE).

The reconstruction of the Csokonai Theatre was one of the most significant and complex projects in the history of HUNÉP Zrt., a member of the SZINORG Group. During the renovation of the building—originally constructed in 1865 and protected as a historic monument—the company aimed to preserve its architectural heritage while implementing cutting-edge, sustainable, and technologically advanced solutions to create a cultural space that meets the expectations of the 21st century.

The Construction Industry Award and the newly unveiled plaque stand as a fitting recognition of years of professional collaboration and dedication. The award reflects the teamwork, precision, and commitment to quality that define the work of HUNÉP Zrt. and its partners.
