We are pleased to announce that HUN\u00c9P Zrt.<\/strong> has won the 2025 Construction Industry Award<\/strong> in the “Agricultural Buildings” category for the construction of the Sauska Winery in R\u00e1tka<\/strong>. The prestigious award was presented to Mr. Mikl\u00f3s Bakos, CEO<\/strong> at the \u00c9VOSZ Annual General Meeting on December 10, 2025<\/strong>, one of the most significant professional recognitions in the Hungarian construction industry.

The Sauska Winery in R\u00e1tka<\/strong> is more than just a wine production facility \u2013 it is a complex where contemporary architecture<\/strong>, high-level engineering expertise<\/strong>, and sustainable design<\/strong> come together harmoniously. The building serves as a new gastronomic and cultural venue for the Tokaj wine region, providing a fitting environment to showcase the exceptional wines and flavors of the area, while contributing to the region\u2019s tourism and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Goals and Significance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The goal of the Sauska Winery project was to create a modern, energy-efficient<\/strong>, and aesthetically outstanding winery center<\/strong> that faithfully reflects the values of the Sauska brand<\/strong>. The facility is exemplary in several aspects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Design blending with the landscape<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Two 36-meter diameter, floating lens-shaped roof structures<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Curved formwork and meticulously designed interior spaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Cutting-edge mechanical<\/strong>, electrical<\/strong>, and installation solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Strong focus on environmental sustainability<\/strong> and long-term durability<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The greenfield project was completed with full infrastructure according to the highest European standards, making it not only an architectural but also a technological leader among agricultural buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Execution and Professional Collaboration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    <\/div>\n\n\n\n

    HUN\u00c9P Zrt.<\/strong> acted as the general contractor, while another member of our group, HAJDU ALU Zrt.<\/strong>, participated as a subcontractor. The design of the building was done by BORD \u00c9p\u00edt\u00e9sz St\u00fadi\u00f3<\/strong>, and the interior design work was carried out by ART.DOT Kft.<\/strong>

    The project\u2019s planning began in 2014, with detailed design and refinement continuing until 2022, and the facility was officially handed over to Sauska in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Sustainability and Technological Innovation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The project paid special attention to sustainable architecture<\/strong> principles. Modern mechanical and electrical systems, energy-efficient solutions, and environmentally conscious material use all contributed to making the Sauska Winery not only architecturally but also technologically exceptional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
